6 Month Smiles are exactly what you think they might be. They correct a multitude of orthodontic problems in a relatively short period of 6 months as opposed to years. Normally if you have mis-aligned or crooked teeth, you had to use Invisalign or braces that would take 2 years or so to correct.
Now however, with new technology giving orthodontists better wires and braces - the time is greatly reduced. Guess how much by? ;)
One of the major advantages to using 6 month braces other than the speed at which they straighten your teeth is they are barely visible. They use a nickel titanium wire and brackets that are the same colour as our human enamel.
These brackets very gently move the teeth over the course of the treatment and each week will make minor adjustments to the position of your teeth to look more aesthetic. Every few weeks this may need to be tweaked for optimal results but don't worry, you might even start to enjoy coming in to see us. :)

Though they are called 6 month smiles, sometimes they can give the desired results in as little to 4-5 months. Sometimes treatment may take longer from 7-8 months so it can also depend on your current teeth.
